These pictures were taken when we attended the "Day with Thomas" event in England. It was so fantastic! Joseph got to see, in person, all the characters we'd been reading about in our books every night, watching on our television, and seeing in our toy box. He even got to talk to Sir Topham Hatt! They call him the "Fat Controller" in England but I think that'd offend too many people in the good ol' USA. He was very sweet to Joseph but Joseph was very apprehensive about responding to his questions. He told Joseph, "I think we've met before! Hello Joseph!" How did he know our son's name? Perhaps it was me repeating most excitedly, "Look Joseph! It's Sir Topham Hatt, Joseph! Look Joseph!!!" We went to the gift shop afterward and purchased many Thomas items not available in the US. It was loads of fun for me. Not so much for our bank account. The pound sure is powerful in comparison to the dollar. We also got to ride a train over to the activity area. There were so many things to see and do! We all had a blast. Beep beep!
